Site Reports
Real-Time Monitor
The Real-Time Monitor displays live updates of your site’s visitors. The report refreshes every 10 seconds, and displays an updated list of the current visitors to your site.
For each visitor you can see the following details:
- Country of origin
- Page - Number of pages they have viewed on your site (during all their visits)
- Latest visit - How long ago they started their most recent visit to the site.
- Current page
- Original referrer - The page from which they were directed to your site originally
Click on the play button to view the recording of this user's visit to your site. The recording will begin from the first time the user landed on your site (which is not necessarily the current visit).
Note: Real-Time Monitor is only available for certain ClickTale subscription plans. If your current plan does not offer Real Time updates, you will only view the last visitors to your site, and the list will not refresh automatically. If you would like to get Real-Time Monitor for you site, consider upgrading your subscription.
Top Events
Events are a convenient way of tracking visitors based on their actions. By adding specific tags to elements of your site (links, URLs, movies, forms, etc.), visitors who interact with these elements will have the Event tag attached to their browsing history. To learn more about setting up and using Events, please see the wiki page Events.
The Top Events report allows you to view which of the predefined events on your site are experienced most frequently by your visitors. For each event, the report details:
- Event Name
- First occurrence
- Last occurrence
- Number of occurrences
- % of Pageviews
Possible uses
If you set up Events on your site, the Top Events Report allows you to very quickly see how frequently the different pages, links and buttons you have Events for are being used. For example, if you set up a Customer_Login event, that is counted every time a user clicks on a Login button, you will quickly be able to see what percent of the pageviews on your site included this event, indicating that users clicked on that button. In the same way if you set up an event and see that only a very small number of your visitors were tagged with it. For example, if only very few users clicked on a specific button, you realize that the button may not have been as prominent as you had thought it would be.

Most Errored
The Most Errored report shows which pages generate the most JavaScript errors. Javascript errors happen when a script in a web page contains an error or fails to execute correctly. Exactly what happens depends on the browser and type of error.
Errors on the page can be very frustrating for visitors to a site. They may prevent the users from viewing the information they are looking for, cause issues with completing online forms, and many other issues.
JavaScript errors cannot be detected using server side monitoring. Only ClickTale’s session recordings will pick up these errors.
Using the Most Errored report you can track pages on which users encountered JavaScript errors. You can then easily find and fix the issues that cause these errors and make sure your site visitors get the most out of the site.
